Whitegate Nurseries, Keynsham is a family-run business, started by owners David and Clare in 1954. We specialise in high-quality plants, together with all the things you need to create your perfect garden.

What makes us different?

The ‘Secret Garden Centre’ at Whitegate Nurseries is a well-established, specialised business – not an impersonal mega garden centre! We are passionate gardeners, and our friendly staff are experts on all sorts of plants and how to grow them successfully. We stock a huge, ever-changing range – a selection of which you can find out about here on our website. Why not come and visit us? You won’t be disappointed and we’re sure you will be surprised at how much there is to see.

Visit our cafe and gift department

Our pretty gift department ‘Seasons’, as its name implies, changes stock with the seasons of the year so you will always find that perfect present or something lovely for your home. Our popular ‘Hilltop’ cafe serves tasty light snacks and refreshments every day and has a warm log fire through the colder months. It also boasts a superb view over the Avon Valley towards the city of Bath.

How to get here

As our name suggests, we are quite hard to find but the following may help. Turn off the A4175 at Keynsham Town football ground toward Stockwood – we are at the top of Stockwood Hill. Or if you approach from the A37, turn off at Whitchurch at the Maes Knoll Carvery traffic lights, go through Stockwood and you will find us half a mile past Stockwood Vale Golf Club. To see where we are on a map please click here.
